This appeal relates to the decision of an Adjudicator to dismiss a complaint about an engineer. The appellant's primary allegation was that the engineer failed to act with honesty, objectivity and integrity. The engineer was engaged by the appellant, on behalf of a company, to provide structural engineering services and building consent documentation for the extension of a hall within a commercial building, with a tight timeframe. The appeal panel dismissed the appeal, as none of the grounds of appeal were proven and any shortcomings on the part of the engineer were insufficiently grave to warrant further investigation.
